Ogami
Project general facts
Ogami is a coastal community by SODIC inspired by its namesake Japanese island, harmonising Mediterranean charm with Japanese tranquillity. The masterplan by DLR follows a tiered design with cascading elevations, so homes are positioned to capture views across the development and the Mediterranean, while an island concept creates distinct enclaves linked by lush landscapes and winding pathways.
Residents enjoy a multi-layered beach with an elevated beach restaurant and an outdoor beach gym, as well as swimmable lagoons with seating decks and sea-view water features. The Clubhouse offers circular and infinity pools with sea views, the Wellness Center hosts yoga and fitness sessions, and the Racquet Club adds tennis and padel courts alongside a football pitch. Beachtown and the Retail Village bring boutiques, cafés, gourmet markets, dining and pool bars, and the community is also home to Nobu Restaurant, Nobu Hotel and the Nobu Beach Club.
The collection includes chalets, townhomes, twin villas and standalone villas, with arched walkways and open spaces inspired by the Japanese concepts of Nagomi and Wu. Homes come fully finished with natural materials, neutral palettes and large windows; villas feature ensuite bedrooms, maid's rooms, terraces, and private pools or roof decks in selected types, while chalets offer private entrances, gardens or terraces and a maid's room.
Location description and benefits
Ras El Hekma is a prime destination on Egypt's North Coast, set on a cape between Sidi Heneish and El Dabaa and known for its pristine Mediterranean beaches, soft white sands and turquoise water. The area balances seaside seclusion with easy access to other key destinations along the coast.
The International Coastal Road between Alexandria and Marsa Matrouh runs through Ras El Hekma, while the Fouka and El Dabaa roads connect it to the Cairo–Alexandria Desert Road. El Alamein International Airport is the closest air gateway, with Borg El Arab International Airport serving Alexandria, and the established resorts, dining and services of El Alamein, Sidi Abd El-Rahman and Marsa Matrouh lie along the same coastline.
Ras El Hekma is the focus of a large-scale city development, planned with a free zone, hotels, yacht marinas, residential neighbourhoods and leisure districts. This positions the area as one of the most closely watched destinations on the North Coast, and homes here appeal both as a private seasonal retreat and as a long-term holding on the Mediterranean.
